We dealt with highly sensitive and at times acutely painful issues but somehow Simon's skills enables us to leave his room lighter than when we arrived." AG & SG

Couple Therapy. Marilyn

Marilyn Lush

BACP Accredited Counsellor (MBACP)
Diploma in Humanistic Counselling
Advanced Certificate in Couple and Relationship Counselling
Certificate in Couple and and Relationship Counselling
CPD in Psycho-Sexual Therapy
B.Ed Hons Degree (2nd class Hons from Southampton University)

I am an experienced and professional Counsellor who has been counselling Couples for a number of years following intensive CPD training on Couples and Relationship Counselling. Prior to this I had a vast amount of experience working with young people and their parents, so it was a natural step to utilise my skills in this area and apply them to that of Couple and Relationship Counselling. Couple Counselling is different to individual counselling because it focuses on the Relationship. It involves recognising where the relationship has gone wrong from each party's perspective. It offers a non-judgemental space to say it as it really is for you and for you to listen attentively to what your partner has experienced or is experiencing, so that both of you can 'step into the others shoes'. I would be helping both partners to identify and acknowledge what could be saved in the relationship, what could be jointly built upon and what could be changed by both parties, so that the relationship can move forward and heal. Part of the counselling work is about exploring a mutually agreed way to reconnect once the pain on both sides has been expressed, shared and acknowledged. For some clients, Couple Counselling may involve helping the relationship to end amicably and respectfully as well as helping each partner to deal with their loss.

If you decide to choose me as your Couple Counsellor to help you and your partner/wife/husband work through your relationship which may have turned sour, complicated or is going down a negative path, then I ensure you that I will work empathically and respectfully with you both, keeping my neutrality throughout the session/s.
My current fees for Couple Counselling are:
60 for a 50 min session
85.00 for a 1.5 hr session
My contact details are: Phone: 07747062290

I feel passionately about the power of Counselling to transform the lives of Individuals and Couples. Isn't that something to invest in for yourselves?
